I am a Registered Psychologist who has enjoyed having my own private practice in Sherwood Park for over 17 years. Prior to that, I worked as a Provisional Psychologist in Edmonton and as a therapist in a variety of settings both in Alberta and British Columbia. I have been counselling individuals and families for over 30 years in a various settings and roles.
When I did my Master's and PhD, my research focused on issues related to healing from Childhood Sexual Abuse. Recovery from trauma has been an area of special interest for me during most of my career. One of the aspects of my job that I love, however, is the fact that I get to meet a many unique people who are struggling with a wide range of issues. For these reasons, I am committed to ongoing growth and learning through reading, discussion groups, and ongoing training. Since graduating with my PhD I have taken advanced training courses in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Audio-Visual Entrainment (AVE) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
If you have any questions about my training or experience, please feel free to phone and ask questions.
